There is an army of women arising on the earth. They cannot be silenced by dead religion and human tradition. The Spirit inside them cannot be contained. The glass ceiling has shattered.
'The Lord gives the word; the women who announce the news are a great host: “The kings of the armies—they flee, they flee!” The women at home divide the spoil— '
Psalm 68:11-12
The curse came in
Embraced by men
The original sin
Gave him dominion
To rule over her
Dishonor for sure
The serpent's plan
To corrupt the man
To subject his wife
To cruelty and strife
To keep her down
Prostrate on the ground
Kiss my ring
He said to his queen
Then wondered why
His marriage was dry
A muzzle alas
And a prison of glass
To silence her roaring
To keep her from soaring
Her role was assigned
To keep her in line
To keep her low
And smother her glow
God’s name in vain
To lock in his reign
then set up tradition
In this fallen condition
And still to this day
He continues to bray
Shouts “I am the best”
As he beats on his chest
I have to lead her
Cuz I am the leader
We ate from the tree
So just listen to me
But the Spirit no longer
allows him to monger
The woman is lifted
To where she is gifted
Nothing can hinder
The Spirit inside her
She’s starting to soar
To speak up and roar
On wings like the dove
With truth and with love
Her strength and her courage
Will shine and will flourish
God’s daughters arise
Like the morning sunrise
The fog is lifting
The earth is shifting
Its waters they burst
As the curse is reversed
And they cover the earth
El Shaddai gives new birth
To women empowered
For this very hour
The hope of God’s glory
Comes out of Her story
Like clouds in the sky
Her doves fly and they fly
With wings of healing
Brought through the glass ceiling
By the Rock it was shattered
Its pieces left scattered
Brought to nothing and naught
Just a trampled despot
